FAIRBANKS TN “ROBIN HOOD.” No character in history or legend ever appealed more to the imagination for his preponderance of dashing, romantic verve than Robin Hood. No character in the memory of mankind ever was given such a magnificent opportunity to be impressed permanently so brilliantly. Douglas Fairbanks’ masterly portrayal of this character in his photodrama, “Robin Hood,” appearing at the Royal to-morrow (Wednesday) ev ning, is sure to enhance flic popularity of this hero, since this film will undoubtedly live just as any great novel with a historical background survives the onslaughts of time. Miss Enid Bennett is playing the role of Lady Marian Fitzwnlter opposite Douglas Fairbanks. At the Town Hall Cabaret tomorrow evening, Jack Holt and Wanda Hawley, two of the most popular Paramount artists, will appear in a fast and clever comedydrama, “Nobody’s Money.” Tt is a light love story with laughable complications, and a bang-uo surprise finish that reveals the hero as somebody entirely different from what anybody (bought he was. Just one criticism of “Monte Cristo.” From the time Dante was dragged from his wedding feast, in nntieination of his marriage to the beautiful Mercedes, until he finally triumphed over the third of his enemies, “Monte Cristo” is just one long series of dramatic sequences, which at times brought the crowd to the edge of their seats.” See it Thursday.
