President United Sports Assn.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —“Lost, stolen or strayed, the Foxton Beautifying Society!” The season for planting is just about over, and all that the Society lias done is to haggle with the Mayor and footballers over Easton Park. Sir, is it any wonder that Foxton is made a butt for ridicule? The work of planting and beautifying should have been pushed on independent of Easton Park. Certain work was authorised to be carried out, and why has it not been done? Thanking you in anticipation. —Yours, etc., PROGRESS.
