STILL ANOTHER.

Wellington, August 29. An ex-magistrate’s court official, named Frederick Henderson Joyce, a single man 44 years of age, appeared before Mr Page in the S.M. Court to-day, charged with theft as a Government servant of £l2O 4s 3d. Evidence showed that accused made out receipts to which he did not fix the necessary stamps, and also took stamps off old receipts to cover up deficiencies. In his statement the accused admitted his guilt, and said drink was his downfall. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
