FAREWELL TO REV. L. AND MRS. MINIFIE.
The Methodist congregation will tender a farewell social to the Rev. and Mrs Minifie in the Methodist schoolroom this evening, to which the public are cordially invited. Owing to ill health, Mr Minilie, acting on medical advice, has been compelled to retire from the ministry, and has decided to enter into business at Ractihi at an early date. Since Mr Minifie has been in charge of the local Methodist Circuit be has discharged his duties faithfully and well, and his organising ability lias been of great assistance to the church office bearers, with the result that many improvements have been effected and the charge placed in a sound financial position. Apart from church life, Mr Minifie lias given willing assistance to all deserving objects, and his departure will he regretted by Ihe general public, who will join with the Methodists in wishing him renewed health and- prosperity in his new sphere of activity.
