Wellington, Last Night. As the result of an accident on the Komata at Wellington last year, John Boyce broke his leg while stepping over some dunnage, and tripped on a wire. He alleged negligence on behalf of the Union Steamlship Company, and the jury returned with a verdict for the full amount of damages allowable under the Act, £750, less £2lO already paid by way of compensation.
