MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

MONTHLY SITTING.

The usual monthly sitting of the above was held in the Court House yesterday before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M. CIVIL CASES. Judgment was entered up for the plaintiff in the following civil undefended cases: — D. W. Robertson and Co. Ltd. v. R. Walter, claim £l9 14/1, costs £2 IS/-; A. N. Smith v. E. Boyle, claim £1 14/-, costs 10/-; M. E. Perreau v. R. G. Caddy, claim £< 7s costs £1 12/G; E. M. Wyllie v. Steve Eagle, claim £l2 12/-, costs £2 14s; A. N. Smith v. H. Wei Hemera, claim £1 12/G, costs £1 3/-. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. G. Papara was ordered to pay A. N. Smith £4 1/- in default 7 days imprisonment, warrant suspended so long as defendant pays £1 per month, first payment Ist September. James Buieh was ordered to pay R. Palmer £3 Os Gd in default 7 days. L. Bishop was ordered to pay M. E. Perreau £22 10/8, plus costs £1 11/0, in default 21 days imprisonment. Ronald N. Shaw was ordered to pay R. Rangiheuea £lB 10/- plus costs £1 1/-, in default 21 days imprisonment, warrant suspended so long as defendant pays £1 per month. First payment 17th September. BREACHES OF BY-LAWS. M. E. Perreau, for allowing a horse to wander, was fined 5/- and costs 7/-.

Henry O’Donnell, for allowing a chimney to catch fire within the fire area, was fined 10/-, with costs 7s.
