KILLED BY A TRAIN

ELECTRIC LINESMEN’S DEATH,

Greymouth, August 14. Edwin Pollock, aged 24, and Frank Collins were killed this morning near Rotomanu through a ballast train overtaking a jigger the two men were using. The accident occurred at a bend of . the line, preventing the engine driver seeing the jigger in time. Both men were electric linesmen. Pollock came from Wellington and Collins from Halswell.
