JUNE WORKING.
The amount of gas manufactured during the month of June was 555,700 ft., which with the amount in the holder on June Ist, 12,500 ft., made a total of 568,200 ft. During the month 447,000 ft. were used by consumers, 27,700 ft. hi street lamps, 29,500 ft. at the works and there was 16,400 ft. in the holder on July Ist., making a total of 520,(iOOft. and leaving 47,600 ft. representing 8 per cent unaccounted for. During the month 46 tons of coal were carbonised. The earmings for the month totalled £345 16/10, and were made up as follows: —Gas sales (lighting) £147 14/7, heat and power £l3O 9s sd, coke sales £26 11/4, tar sales £4 13/-, httings £l3 16/9, coal 8/6, services £9 5/6, labour services £8 2/6, labour fittings 4/3, miscellaneous £4 11/-, a total of £345 16/10. The expenditure for the month totalled £296 2/7 and was made up as follows: —Coal £126 17/8, salaries and wages £54 6/2, services £1 9/6, fittings £26 15/6, new meters £2l 19/6, engine repairs 10/6, tools 11/-, house 16/3, ’phone £1 10/-, printing and advertising £1 4s, working expenses io/10, Interest and Sinking Fund £59 11/8, a total of £296 2/7.
