FIRE ALARMS.
A lire alarm was sounded on Saturday evening, the cause being a burning chimney in a cottage opposite the Town Hall. The brigade turned out but their services were not required. On Sunday evening a telephone message was received from the Avenue Road telephone. Tile cause for the alarm was a quantity of burning gorse in a section opposite the cemetery.
