Laconde, a mail of weak intellect, feeling’ a "grieved that M. Barreir, a well-known lawyer at Perpignan, l-ranee, had not defended his interests in a family lawsuit with sufficient energy, went to AT. Barreir’s office and shot him dead, and also killed the head clerk, who attempted to intervene. Laconde then gave himself up. The “Sunday Express” Paris correspondent reports that Prof. Steinach who startled the world with the method of rejuvenation, is able also to make people old by gland treatment. A girl of 20, who volunteered for -the experiment was turned by Steinach into a woman of (it), with white hair and lined face. The correspondent adds that it is likely the first to volunteer will be (lie last and asks who wishes to buy old age. How Dr. Charles Killick, opthalmie surgeon at Bradford Koval Eye and Ear Hospital died of poisoning as the result of treating a septic ( ase was made clear at the inquest; Dr. Killick had frost cracks in his thumb and expressed f<> his wifn the fear that lie might have received infection. Dr. .Jason Wood said that Dr Killick came to him suffering from septic poisoning, which was af first local but afterwards travelled up his arm and became general. In his opinion the poisoning was contracted through the cracks in Dr. Killiek’s thumb while he was treating the patient mentioned.
