How to make a shirred tulle hat, summer modes for outsize figures, the young girl’s dress, and numerous other useful items are*given in this number, besides a page for children with prize competitions.

Voilet Magazine.—“ The Guarding Angel,” is one of the chief stories in this number and is a tale of an amazingly strange story of a man who was down and out. Other stories are “Little Stormy Petrel,” a

thrilling romance by Leslie Arthur, and stories by Crichton Miln, Effie Scott, Madge Chrichton, Leonard Halls, G. H. Wright and others. This number is crammed full of interesting stories.

Premier Magazine, June number. —“To-morrow,” by Mrs Horace Tremlett, is the leading story in this number, a story of love, intrigue, and romantic adventure in the land of the sheik. George Worts contributes “The Avenger,” Victor MacClure “The Sulky Angel,” a comic story of studio life in Paris; .'Edward Woodward “A Comer in Losses,” and there are many other stories written by popular authors, all fully illustrated, which make the June issue of the Premier a real

good number. Sovereign Magazine.—“ The Third Round,” by “Sapper,” the first new gripping adventures of “Bulldog Drummond,” is written especially for this magazine and is the most powerful “Sapper” story yet written. Frances Meyes Hart contributes “Delilah,” and other stories in lighter vein are contributed by Hath well Sutcliffe, Leslie Beresford, Eden Phillpotts, Martin Walker, Wheeler and others. This is a most outstanding issue and should find much favour with readers of the Sovereign Magazine.
