WEDDING.
A quiet wedding took place on June 27th, at St. Peter’s Church, Willis Street, Wellington, at 2.30 p.m. The contracting parties were Mi' Reginald Riddle (only son of Mr and Mrs Riddle, “Sunnyside,” Foxton and Miss Elsie Dovey, of 15 Sugarloaf Road, Brooklyn. The Rev. T. Taylor officiated. After the ceremony the' wedding party were met with a host of friends, who showered them with confetti. The wedding breakfast was held at the bride’s home, after which the usual toasts were honoured. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a silver tea service, and the bride’s gift to the bridegroom was a leather travelling suit case. The bridegroom’s gift to the bridesmaid (Miss Netta Dovey,,sister of the bride) was a gold bangle. - Mr Harold Smith acted as best man. After the breakfast, the newly married couple left by boat for Christchurch, where * the honeymoon was spent, and on returning they took up their abode in Kelbum.
