(9 When laughter flies old age is creeping in, and in pursuit of laughter and avoidance of old age, we have “Aussie.” the eheerful monthly, to keep our hearts and eyes sparkling with the spirit of humour. The July issue, with a delightfully amusing eover in colour, and the usual avalanche of pictures and prose is well up to the standard of its ancestors. New artists and writers have contributed to the New Zealand section of which, by the way, this is the fourth issue. And it is surprising to find that IVfaoriland has clever wrters and artists along these lines —different from anything encouraged by New Zealand papers. This New Zealand section should prove to he a cradle for New Zealand light prose and black and white art.
