DISASTROUS FIRE AT BLUFF.
Invercargill, Last Night. A disastrous fire occurred at 6 o’clock this morning at the Shaw Savill Company’s storeroom at Buff. When discovered the fire had a good hold, and delay was occasioned in fighting the flames by a shortage of hose, but the Harbour Board’s hose was obtained and fire got under by nine. The stores were completely gutted and a house nearby partially wrecked by falling debris. A large quantity of grain and wool was stored in the building. The insurances are not available.
