DORCAS SOCIETY.

The monthly meeting of the above . was held in All Saints school-room yesterday afternoon. Present: Alesdames AfeDonald, Hynes, Pearson, A. Ross, Barr, Moore, AfeMurray, Aliss J. Ross, Mrs Ensign Huston end Captain Deeprose. Apology was received from Rev. F. McDonald. Airs Moore was voted to the chair. An account, for 8/9 was passed for payment. Correspondence was received from the Palmerston North Hospital Board and several from grateful recipients of clothing, etc. Five application*, for assistance were received an— 1 assistance granted in each case. Donations of clothing etc, were acknowledged from Alesdames F. Robinson, Stuckey, A Friend, Anonymous, Ensign Huston, Mesdam- - es Hynes, Wyllie, Aloore and McAlurray. The society would be glad of further parcels.
