THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner’s cable, dated the 23rd inst., reads: “Hemp, Manila, better demand during this week but? market quieter at close, ‘J’ grade sold at £32 16s (buyers), for June-August shipments at £33, July-September shipments £33 ss, August-Oetober shipments £33 10s. ‘G’ grade afloat sold for £36 10s, May-July shipments £37. New Zealand market continues dull and demand poor; fair grade spot offered at £31.”
