SOCCER SOCIAL.
A very pleasant social evening was spent at the opening of the Soccer club’s club room and gym. on Thursday' evening. The function was attended by members and their lady friends, numbering about 50 persons. The President, in declaring the room open, in a neat little speech outlined the necessity for such a room for the club. Dancing was then indulged in till about midnight. Songs were rendered by Misses Morgan (2). Mrs Baker and Mr Hinds. After supper had been partaken “Annie Laurie” under the leadership of Mr McC'oll was sung by the Club’s male choir which was greatly appreciated. The ladies choir then rendered W A Perfect Daw” Mr East supplied the music for the dancing with every satisfaction to those participating. The catering was carried out by the ladies and was a big success. '1 he committee desires to thank all who helped to make the evening such a success and announce that they intend to hold a social evening every fortnight. The decorations were very artistic.
