ROYAL PICTURES,

If you crave excitement you will get it in “The Kentucky Derby,” to lie screened at the Royal Theatre to-morrow night. There is the crooked jockey who throws the race, the horse that is tampered with, the poor hut proud owner, who will lose his home and everything if his horse does not win, the deep-dyed villian who is going to make a fortune and get away when the horse is tricked into losing the race, and the disinherited son. All these you will see and more. On Thursday night Richard Talmadge will appear in “Watch Him Step.” The title of the picture refers to Richard Talnnidge, the screen’s greatest thrill producer. Watch him step out of jail, lie stops, you watch him.

JAMES OLIVER CURWOOD ON THE SCREEN.

“The Valley of Silent Aren,” one of James Oliver Curwood’s most \ ii-ilo novels will be shown at the Town Hall on Wednesday night. The picture seven reels in all, portrays one of the most interesting and exciting stories ever written. The author’s name is a guarantee of its excellence. The chief supporting item will he a Torchy Comedy entitled “Toroliy Steps Out.” These tworeel comedies, from the pen of the noted writer Sewell Ford, just about mark the limit to which the motion picture camera can go. A reminder is given that’ “The Woman in Chains,” will he screened shortly.
