"NORTHCLIFFE’S SPIRIT.”

SPEAKS THROUGH CONAN DOYLE. A WARNING TO THE NATION. San Francisco, May 31. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle declared that he had received a message from Lord NorthcliftVs spirit warning him that only a wave of spiritual reform can save the world from catastrophe which will make the World War seem insignificant. Sir Arthur quotes Lord Northclifie’s spirit as saying: “The American people are too busy; that was the mistake I made in my life time. I was too busy, but I understand now that wisdom is lost in the scramble for material progress." Sir Arthur Conan Doyle asserts that other spirits also warned him that the world is approaching a terrible catastrophe, probably a natural disturbance 'which will engulf whole continents.
