DORCAS SOCIETY.
The committee met iii All Saints’ schoolroom yesterday afternoon. There were present Mesdames F. Robinson (president), Walton, Moore, Smith, Pearson, Hynes, Huston, A. Ross, McMurray (secretary), and the Rev. Walton. The Rev. Walton was voted to the ehaiv Apologies were received from Mrs F. and the Rev. F. McDonald, Miss Ross, Ensign Huston and Rev. Father Doolaglity. Correspondence was received from the Palmerston North Hospital Board conveying the appreciation of the Board on the work done by the soeiety in Foxton. From Mr E. H. Poole, enclosing £2 as a donation to the funds. —Received with thanks.
Accounts amounting to £1 16s 6d were passed for payment. Five applications for assistance were considered and granted. Parcels of clothing, boots and shoes are acknowledged from Mesdames A. N. Smith, W. E. Barber, F. Robinson, Huston, Hynes, and A Friend.
