GLORIA SWANSON AND DAVID POWELL Appear in a new Paramount production entitled “Her Gilded Cage” at the Town Hall to-morrow night. The story is a love-drama revealing the sensational secrets of a Parisian danceuse, lavishly produced by Sam Wood, from the play “Love Dreams” by Anne Nichols, which was so successful in New York a few months ago. The gowns are simply ravishing, the settings magnificent, while genuine antique tapestries and furnishings were loaned by a millionaire for the interior scenes. A Torchy comedy “Battling Torchy” is the chief supporting item. On Saturday next Zane Grey’s “Mysterious Rider,” will be shown, and on Wednesday Lionel Barrymore will appear in “The Face in The Fog.” ROYAL PICTURES. Frank Mayo, supported by a well balanced cast, in a dramatic story, comes to the Royal Theatre to-mor-row night. The picture is “The Altar Stairs,” adapted from a novel of G. B. Lancaster’s which has been widely read. To gain realism and the mystic beauty of South Seas native ceremonies in the scenes of island festivities, N'ita Monyanya, a native dancer, was employed, not only to dance herself, but to help stage the scenes. It is a Universal production. Extra: “The Leather Pushers.” Comedy: “Women First.” On Friday night William Duncan and Edith Johnson appear in “Steel Heart,” which contains more thrills than als episode serial. Prices 6d and 1/1, children half-price. On Saturday Hobart Bosworth’s “Blind Hearts” will be screened. Do not miss this gripping production.
