MASONIC.
The annual Installation of the W.M. and officers of the local Masonic Lodge took place yesterday afternoon. R. Wor. Bro. -J, A. Nash, P.G.S.W., was installing Master, assisted by R. Wor. J. A. Perritt, Prov. G.M. and visiting officers. The officers invested were as follows: W.M., Bro. J. MeColl, 1.P.M., W. Bro. Renton; S.W., Bro. Rangiheuea, JAY., Bro. G. Alexander, secretary, W. Bro. Jno. Ross, treasurer: W. Bro. Healey; D.C., Wor. Bro. Hornblow; S.D., Bro. D. Campbell; J.D., Bro. Dr. Rowley; T.G., Bro. A. Stevenson; Tyler, Bro. de Bidder; organist: Bro. P. Jack; stewards: Bros. W. Davey and E. J. Sutton. Tn Iho evening the Lodge entertained the visiting brethren and ladies at a most enjoyable social. The interior of the hall was tastefully decorated and the accommodation was taxed to its utmost. Brief speeches of welcome were made by the W.M., Bro. J. MeColl and R. Wor. Bros. Perritt and Nash. Excellent music was supplied by Bro. H. Osborne’s orchestra and the catering arrangements were in the hands of W. Bro. Perreau. Songs were acceptably rendered by R. Wor. Bro. Perritt (including community singing) and Miss McKenzie.
