A woman aged eighty-two years and living at Wood Green, London, who summoned her husband for maintenance arrears, has mothered sixty-eight children —twenty-three of; her own, seventeen belonging to her second husband by his first wife, and Iwenty-eight nurse children. One of her daughters has had eighteen children, two fourteen each, and two twelve each. She was herself one of fourteen and her mother one of twelve.
