UNITED CHURCH SERVICE.

There was a representative attendance at the united church service held in t lie Presbyterian Church on Tuesday night. The devotional portion of the service consisted of several well-known hymns, which were heartily sung. An invitation was extended to any of the congregation to participate in short intercessory prayers, which was acceded to by several of those present. The Rev. W. H. Walton, (Anglican) delivered the address, basing his remarks on “Paul, A Servant of Jesus Christ.” The vicar touched briefly on the character and life of St. Paul and applied the example to present day Christian life. lie stressed the necessity for an individual spiritual awakening. Many people believed in the good offices of the Christian church and worship but did not actually participate. His address was followed with close interest.

The next service will be held in the Methodist Church on Tuesday evening next.
