A PAKEHA TOHUNGA.
FOUND GUILTY AT CHRISTCHURCH.
Christchurch, Last Night. Alfred Lewis, a young man, who advertised himself widely in 1921 as being able to cure disease in all its forms, and who set up business in Hereford Street, was found guilty in the Supreme Court of having obtained £33 from Flora Hill, by making a false representation. In returning a verdict of guilty, the foreman of the jury added: “And at the same time the jury wish to express. the opinion that the authorities should take immediate steps or should, have legislation passed to find out the qualifications of masseurs, chiropractors and others.’' Accused was remanded for sentence. A letter from “Old-Identity” is unavoidably held over.
