ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
FOUND DEAD IN BET). Gisborne, Last Night. Cyril E. Davis, a married carrier, of To 1 ago Bay, was found dead in bed. An inquest lias been ordered. MOTOR SMASH NEAR XAPIER. TAXI DRIVER KILLED. Xapeir, May 7. A fatal motor accident oceurred near Napier last evening. David Boyd, a taxi-driver, was killed, Percy Lcgrove, an agent, suffered concussion of tiie brain: Miss TTindmarsli, a visitor from Gisborne, was badly cut and is suffering from shock. Two other young ladies escaped serious injury. Boyd evidently failed-to see a turn in the road and smashed into a telegraph pole. He was killed outright. Legrovc olid Miss Hind-marsh are in hospital and doing well. DANGEROUS WOUND FROM PEA RIFLE. Gisborne, May 7. Gus Heikell, aged 14, a cowboy at X gat.a pa, went to round up the cows yesterday afternoon, carrying a pea rifle. Failing to return, his employer searched and found him unconscious with a bullet wound in bis abdomen. Apparently be bad been (brown from bis horse, the gun exploding in the fall. His condition is serious.
