MANAWATU COUNTY ELECTIONS.
What will probably constitute a record in regard to the county elections which eventuate next Wednesday is the fact that no election will be necessary in the Manawatu County for any of the public bodies, the sitting members in each case being returned unopposed. County Council: Sir James Wilson, H. IT. Hunt, J. Boyce, A. E. Barber, W. Strode Penny, H. J. Fagan and J. F. McKclvie. The above being members of the .-fitting council, have been re-elected. There was only one nomination for the seat on the Foxton Harbour Board, that of Mr W. E. Barber, the sitting member, who is returned unopposed. Sir James Wilson and Mr H. 11. Hunt were returned unopposed as the representatives of the Mana-watu-Oroua Power Board, and for the Hospital Board the sitting members, Sir James Wilson and All J. K. Hornblow, were the only nominations received and are re-elected. Air W. E. Barber was returned unopposed as the county representative on the Ilorowhenua Powei Board.
