Besides writing stories of full hook length this popular author writes also for magazines and other pa|K>rs. He is a regular contributor to one of America’s greatest papers “'flic Saturday Evening Post,” and one of his best contributions to that journal is “While Satan Sleeps,” which has been adapted to the screen with Jack Holt in the leading role, and issued under the Paramount banner, a sure sign of excellence. The programme is supported by a two-reel Johnny Hines Comedy entitled “Torcliy and Orange Blossoms.” Two big specials are listed to be shown shortly, “The Mysterious Rider’’ and “If 1 were King.” ROYAL PICTURES. . To-morrow night Herbert Rawlinson will be seen in “Another Man’s Shoes,” at the Royal Theatre. He stepped into “Another Man’s Shoes” and things began to happen. Instead of a life of wealth and ease, he was hounded -by a death band, watched bv day and night, and the prettiest princess of Europe tried to kill him in broad daylight in a New York street! Comedy: “True Blue” featuring Queenie, the horse. Prices 0d and 1/G plus tax, children half price. Extra “The Leather Pushers,” Round One. Kid Roberts fought men with his fists and women, with his smile and he always won out.
On Friday “The Prisoner of Zenda” will be screened. Tn this picture Lewis Stone makes bis first appearance as a Metro player. The photoplay is ail adaptation of Anthony Hope’s novel.
