MINISTERS’ ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of local ministers was held at the Anglican vicarage on Tuesday, the Rev. Air Walton presided. There were present: Revs. F. McDonald (Presbyterian), Minilie (Methodist) and Ensign Huston (Salvation Army). Details in connection with the services for Anzac Day were discussed and settled. It was deeideiWu reorganise religious instruction classes at the local State school and the Rev. F. AlcDonald and Ensign Huston were appointed to wait upon the chairman of the school committee in connection with same.

It was decided to hold a combined mission in Eoxton during October and to invite Air \V. .J. Mains to conduct same. On Tuesday afternoon a deputation from ilie association, waited upon the eliairman of the local ■'••hool oomiiiilloo with a request that permission lie granted to the Association io conduct undenominational religious lessons al the school, 'flip Rev. Frank AlcDonald explained the procedure in other towns in this connection and Ensign Huston .-.poke of bis work in “Iher places in the State schools. Mr Ilornblow. in reply, said he was personally sympathetic. The clergy were given the right of en- * try for religious instruction before and after school hours and in the past the local committee, with the sanction of tlie. Board, had made provision tor religious training for half an hour on one day of the week. He suggested that the Association’s request, in writing, he submitted lo the Committee for consideration. This the deputation promised to do.
