Sir, —In reply to “Resident” I will only state that I consider that. I did my duty at the fire in question and that I have already given my explanation to the Acting-Superin-tendent who appeared satisfied. Part of the information published in vour correspondent's letter is absolutely incorrect, but if “Besident” wishes to get any more, let him publish his name. —Yours etc., H. lIAMER.
