Constable O’Donoghue left Foxon yesterday on his annual leave. Nurse N. Xeylon, late of the Northcote Hospital, Palmerston North, is on holiday at Foxton.
Mrs Simmers, of Dannevirke, is. spending a holiday with her sister, Mrs Delan.y, of Foxton. Mr Davidson arrived in Foxton on Tuesday evening and has commenced his duties as first assistant at the local State school. The death occurred at Blenheim on Tuesday night of the Hon. C. H. Mills, aged 78 years, who for many years represented the Wairau district in the House of Representatives, and who was Minister for Customs for some time in the Seddon Administration.
A quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated at (he Catholic Church, Feilding, on Thursday afternoon last by the Rev. Father Cahill, when Mr Arthur Edwin Clover, second son of Mr and Mrs W. Clover, of Feilding, was married to Miss Nellie Skellen, third daughter of Mr and Mrs P. Skellen, of Foxton.
