Stratford, Last Night. Air Alowlem, S.AL, this afternoon, fined a young man named Eric Becre £4O on a charge of bookmaking and II other persons £2f) each on charges of betting with him. Boere is a dairy factory hand and made a small double chart laying £lO to 4/-.” Visitors to the factory persuaded him to take chances and Beere got into a hotel disputation over a book and fell into the hands of the police. He handed full information to the police sergeant.
