MEDICAL STUDENT’S “RAG.” A MOCK OPERATION. Students’ night at His Majesty’s Theatre, Aberdeen, last month, was the occasion of a lively “rag.” The orchestra seats were invaded and packed with apologetic fiddlers, flutes, clarionets, and rougli- [ sounding brasses. An athletic student, dressed as a woman acted as conductor. Just before the performance began the amateur musicians ran away, and when the lights went down all kinds of missiles were thrown about. The “rag” - reached its height when a mock operation was carried out in the stalls gangway. The “patient” was laid on a table, stud hammers, chisels, and saws were px-o-duced from the surgeon’s bag. The efforts of the operator, who refreshed himself at intervals from a bottle, caused great laughter. After the operation the patient rose bi’iskly to his feet and went in pursuit of the bottle.
