PLUNKET SOCIETY.

A very enjoyable and financially successful afternoon in aid of the above funds was given by Mrs Aus-tin-Johnston, at her residence, Moutoa Road, on Saturday. The effort realised £9 5/-. The various competitions were keenly contested and resulted as follows: —Clock golf, Mrs Wyllie; Monte Carlo croquet, Mrs Owen; target croquet, Mrs Healey; Christmas cake, Mrs Barr; quoits, Mr J. Aitken. Mrs Austin - Johnston has kindly offered her grounds for a similar afternoon which the committee hope to arrange at an early date.
