Palmerston North, March 7. In the Police Court,_ Henry William Taylor, was charged with, between March It), 191(1, and -January 9, 1923, stealing £4,40(1 Os 4d, the property of a local firm. The accused pleaded guilty. Detective-Sergeant Quirke stated that the accused had been managing a department of the firm from 1915 until early this year. During that time he had drawn cheques in the name of the firm, and converted the money to his own use. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
