RIFLE SHOOTING.
The second shoot for Messrs Hartley-and Frankland’s trophies was held last Saturday at 600 yards. The overcast sky gave a good light and the wind was easterly, veering to north, and tricky at times. A new member was present, Mr A. J. Johnston, of Taikorea. The following were the scores:—
As some members will be away next Saturday, the third shoot for these trophies is postponed to Saturday, March 10th. Next Wednesday Rifleman Fergusson and Rifleman Frankland leave for Treritham, to compete at the N.R.A. meeting commencing Ist March. They have the club’s best wishes for some success and every enjoyment.
