BOWLING.
A special general meeting of members of the Bowling Club will he held in the supper-room of the Town Hall this evening, at 8 o’clock, for the purpsoe of considering the proposal re purchase of land and amalgamation with the 'Tennis Club. This question is of considerable importance, and it is hoped there will be a good attendance of members.
Yesterday was an ideal day for bowling, and a pleasant day was spent on the green. No trophy matches were played but several keenly contested games were played both morning and afternoon.
Two games in the current round of the Wjlford Cup Singles contest have been played, and resulted as follows: —
Howe (6) 30 v. Thomson (6) 14; Smith (2) 24 v. Ball (2) 20. Contestants are requested to complete their games by the 28th instant.
