S.M. COURT.
The ordinary monthly sitting of the local S.M. Court was held yesterday before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M. CIVIL. Judgment was entered up r '\ plaintiffs in the following ease“_ R. N. Speirs V. A. H. Richards,'* claim £1 Os lOd, costs 8/-; W. S. Free v. W. Healey, claim £5, costs 25/6; Geo. C. Coley v. S. Eagle, claim for possession of tenement, and rent £l2, judgment for amount claimed and costs £3 1/-. Several eases were adjourned till March 16. JUDGMENT SUMMONS. C. W. Peach v. W. F. McDonald, debtor ordered to pay £1 4s 6d forthwith in default seven days. BREACH OF PROHIBITION ORDER,
John Kinley was convicted for a breach of his prohibition order and was convicted and fined £1 and 7/eosts. The Magistrate said in view of the fact that the defendant had recently been fined £2 for drunkenness, out of which the charge arose, he would refrain from making the line larger.
DRIVING ON THE WRONG SIDE. A sequel to the recent collision of two motor cars in Main Street last Saturday, resulted in W. H. Anderson being charged by the police with driving his car on the wrong side of the road. Constable Owen detailed the circumstances as previously published. Defendant pleaded guilty and was fined £2 and costs 0/- and was allowed one week in which to pay the fine. WANDERING STOCK.
For allowing stock to wander on the borough streets, Hans Ries and E. A. Fuller were each fined 5/and 7/- costs.
