FOXTON HARBOUR.

BAR SOUNDINGS

Last Tuesday morning at 7.40 Mr R. O. Climie together with the secretary and harbour-master, fixed the soundings on the bar for the .purpose of including them on the plan which will be submitted to the Alarine Department. The least wat.er when these were taken was Bft. ’Gin. There were three sets of soundings taken. The first, with the bar beacons in line (outward hound) varied from 14ft. to 8 ft. Gin. The second, to the south of the first set of soundings varied from lift, to 9ft. The third taken north of the first set varied from 13 ft. to Bft. Gin.
