ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Taumaranui, Last Night. A man named R. Twichie, aged 20 years, was killed, on Messrs Ellis and Burnand’s works at Mangatuketuke, eight miles from Ongaxue, to-day.' ; The tail rope on a hauler deceased was working on broke and "struck him on the neck, kjlliag him. Wellington, . Last Night. Electrocution was the cause of the death of a man named James Bray, who was**working at Suther- ' ' land Crossing, in Melrose suburb. Bray aud a companion were working on the electric wires, when by •some means deceased touched the * both wires and fell to the ground. A medicaUman said Bray was dead before he struck the ground. His companion was uninjured. Deceased was a linesman employed by the city electric lighting department, was married, and lived at Miramar.
