LES MISERABLES.
In this picture which is to be shown at the Town Hall on Tuesday night, William Farmuu undoubtedly does the best work of bis stage or screen career. The story itself, the creation of that master mind, Victor Hugo, takes the reader to those strenuous years of the French Revolution. This picture is well termed “stupendous.” It is the only real screening of man and humanity and the conflict of laws half barbarous in their cruelty. The hard side of Jean Valjean is admirably brought out by William Fai'num in his revengeful feeling against the world for stealing a loaf for his starving relatives, and again the softer side when lie, having changed his name and become wealthy is lending a helping hand to every one around him. A picture that if you miss it now will be regretted all your life. A supporting item is an A.l. St. John special comedy (2 reels). Admission 1/- and 1/6, children 3d and fid.
