TENNIS AND BOWLS.

SUCK! ESTED COM BIN ED GROUND. ' There is lo be a conference be tween the local Bowling and Tennis Clubs on Monday night to discuss the purchase of a section adjoining the . bowling green for tennis and croquet and to combine these games of both clubs in one playing area with joint use of pavilion and responsibilities as to permanent caretaker. The tennis club grounds are found to be too cramped and the club lms the power to.qut same and with the proceeds purchase the section adjoining the bowling green. The extra land would probably be merged in both clubs. The scheme is being favourably commented upon by the parties concerned and if consummated will add greater interest to bowling, tennis and croquet. The Bowling Club xvill be represented at the conference by Messrs Pearson, Nye and Bryant.
