S.M. COURT.
The monthly sitting' of the local S.M. Court-was held yesterday and presided over by Mr J. L. Stout S.M. An application for a prohibition order against a local resident was adjourned’till February 16th. A separation and maintenance case, with custody of children, was adjourned on the application of counsel (Mr Berg-in) until February 16th. STRAYING CATTLE. Jas. Neville and John Coley were lined 5/- each and costs 7/- for allowing stock to wander in the boi - - ough streets contrary to the bylaws a,nd R. Bryant on a similar charge was lined 10/- and 7/- costs. CIVIL CASES. Judgment was entered for plaintiffs in the cases Hofmann and Son v. E. ,J. Harrison, claim £7, costs £1 15s (id; Fox ton Co-operative Trading Society v. P. and W. Hoterini, £lO 18s 2d, costs £3 5s 6d. In the judgment summons case S. T. Eagle was ordered to pay O. G. Evans (Mr Bergin) £7 5s Od, plus costs 15/0 forthwith, in default seven days imprisonment.
