Her stockings Avere of sheerest silk, her heels were inches high, Her stockings were Avtell-nigh to her knees, —she sported a lorgnette; She gav’e poor Daii—who loved her still —the cold and- fishy eye, And for a lime it looked as "though he’d placed a losing bet. The Avhole town did the things she did, —it was a merry race, It really seemed that each one owned the U.S. Mint at least Blit, one by one, they dropped behind, they couldn’t stand the pace, Until —but come yourself to see this entertainment feast.
