SERIOUS CHARGE AGAINST SETTLER.
Gisborne, East Night, In the Police Court to-day, a well-known sheepfarmer, Albert Ernest Harris, was remanded oil a charge of using an instrument with intent to -perform an illegal operation last week, on a woman, Frances Quinn, who was charged similarly and remanded. The young woman concerned is in a critical state.
