SUNBEAM LEAGUE PICNIC.
(Contributed,) The picnic held under the auspi«<es of the Fox ton Co-operators Sunbeam League in \ ictorin Fork on New Year's Day was a great success. The weather was ideal for the outing. There was a rush for the swings and the hoys played cricket. A few races wen; run for children under 5 then, alter dinner was disposed of, the picnickers gathered round the grama phone. Knees then occupied the remainder of the afternoon while the girls enjoyed rounders. Whatever other complaints there could be there were none about the variety of races. The programme included ladies’-stepping the chain, rolling, hopping, monkey, walking, running, stick, three-legged and wheel barrow races. After tea had been served, lolly aiid peanut scrambles over. the prizes were given out. Very few received more than one prize, but all who made their appearance were presented' with something. The League would like to express their thanks to all who kindly gave donations and helped make the picnic the success it was.
