A striking tribute to the silent dramas is “The .Son of Wallingford” at the Royal Theatre to-night. There are big spectacular scenes on a lake of burning oil. There are the greatest fire scenes ever screened. Ten tanks of oil were spread upon the especially constructed lake which cost over £4,000 to produce. Every character was selected with care and precision so that in the finished production every type would be faithfully portrayed and visualised as they bad been in the original Wallingford stories. No advance in prices. Comedy “Vampire No. 1.” On Tuesday a Universal de Luxe picture, “Wild Honey,” will be screened. Priscilla Dean will be seen in a superb (ilmisation of Cynthia Stockley’s widely discussed novel. A story of a young and haughty English girl who was lost on the African veldt, captured and made prisoner hv a renegade teamster and finally rescued by a young engineer. Comedy: “No Brains. Prices 1/- and 2/- plus tax. children half-price.
On Wednesday night “The Black Bag” will be screened. The picture is filled to the__ brim with mystery, thrills and romance. Also a comedy entitled “Ten Seconds.” Prices as usual.
