BIG FIRE IN CHRISTCHURCH.

Christchurch, Last. Night. A fire to-night, completely gutted the billiard table factory of Lutjcrhann and Co,, in Victoria Street. It did extensive damage to the printing factory of Wildey, Ltd., and damaged windfcnvs in the Salvation Army Citadel. The flames had a good hold when they were discovered and the brigade had over an hour’s task in gaming control. In Messrs Wildey’s premises the up--per portion was charred and a large quantity oT*prin,ting and stationery destroyed, Avhile on the loAver floor much havoc Avas Avrought by water., Wildey and Co.’s insurances totalled £7,660 but no details are available ■in connection with Lutjohann’s policies.
