SHIPPING STRIKE.

FURTHER SENTENCES. Wellington, Yesterday. Thirty-six eases against seamen .alleged to have been parties to a strike were called before Mr Page S.M., to-day. Counsel for the defendants said lie had not intended to appeal against. the conviction previously entered against the two men who were fined £2 last week. Counsel further stated that the men were prepared to acc.ept the evidence then given as applying to themselves. Judgment was given for the plaintiff in each case. Penalties of £2 and costs were imposed on five men of the Wlainui’s crew and three of the Ivahika’s. The remaining cases were adjourned.
