TRIANGULAR SHIELD CONTEST. The second round of the Triangular Shield contest will be played at Shannon on Wednesday next. The Selection Committee have decided on the following teams to represent the local club. — Ball, Christie, Roore, W. Nye (s). .John Ross. Huntley, Admore, E. Whibley (s). SHANNON RINKS. Shannon Club has selected the following rinks for play in the Triangular Shield match: — T. Shannon, Clayton Speiicr, Eargher (s). Gardner, Gunning, Quarrie, Knowles (s). * , Whibley, Cooper, McKegg, Roach (s). H. Butt. Bo vis, Murray, Murphy (s). The following matches have been played in the Wilford Cup Singles contest:— Downes v. Mat tar, a win for Downes. Walton v. Eogden, a win for Eogdeu. Downes v. Christie, a win for Downes. Owing to insufficient players Doing.- present' on the green on Thursday afternoon the Pairs Tourairient as proposed was not held. However. a very pleasant afternoon’s piny was spent by the players present.
